As sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross we devote ourselves to all branches of social and charitable welfare services.
From the very beginning of our presence here in Uganda the sisters felt the need to care for women especially widows and single mothers. We observed when the women become old they are neglected by the family members. So our Sisters began to visit them, take care of them, listen to their problems and try to help them in whatever ways possible.
In Osia Sr. Gracy has started Self Help Groups in different villages to motivate the women to save from whatever they have which can help them in their hour of need. The women as a group come to cultivate in a piece of land in the community. The product which is sold to add in their fund.
